Eric joined MyGrid at the start of 2025 as a software engineer and hit the ground running. He came highly recommended by one of our trusted partners, and wow, did he deliver. Not only is he our first native French speaker, but his English is flawless, and we have a feeling his Flemish is better than he admits.

With a Master’s in Computer Science from the Free University of Brussels, Eric brings serious tech chops. Before MyGrid, he was tech lead at Itsme©, yes, the app used by over 75% of Belgians. High-stakes security, an elite dev team, and real-world impact? Right up his alley.

So why MyGrid? For Eric, it’s personal. He’s been taking small steps in his own life to fight the climate crisis, and MyGrid offered a way to make a bigger impact, without asking people to sacrifice comfort or convenience. Tech that makes sustainable living easy? He’s all in. Add a startup vibe and cutting-edge tools, and the choice was clear.

Eric’s brain is always buzzing, so much so that it sometimes keeps him up at night. Pet projects, wild ideas, or trying to wrap his head around concepts like infinity and nothingness… it’s a lot. (And yes, it makes his brain hurt too.)

He looks up to people like Steve Jobs, but says inspiration can come from anyone, famous or not. He’s always learning, always curious.

Ask him about books and he’ll mention Build by Tony Fadell as a nonfiction standout. For fiction, he’s got a soft spot for La grève des archéologues by Francis Dannemark.

Oh, and he proudly calls himself a geek. It’s even in his Mastodon bio. He started a monthly “Geek Club” with friends where they chat about tech over drinks.

When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him running, reading, or e-karting with his son. His ideal holiday? A museum visit in the morning, a good book and chill time in the afternoon. And guilty pleasures? Single malt and dark chocolate, especially together. Cheers!
