Since the start of this year, Rogier has been powering up our team as CTO. He was already a fan of ModuleOne beforejoining MyGrid, let’s call it love at first sight.
With his down-to-earth Dutch mindset, sharp insights, and no-nonsense approach, he keeps our roadmap on point and our huddles short and snappy. Time to hand the mic to Rogier himself.
Studies
I studied AI, Computer Science, and Mathematics in Maastricht. No surprise I feel totally at home in the mix of IoT, product development, and smart cloud tech that defines our plug-and-play home battery.
Innovation as a common thread
Before I joined MyGrid, I had the chance to work on plenty of innovative projects. A few personal highlights?
👉 Philips iPronto - a WiFi tablet way ahead of its time that let you control your entire home.
👉 Smart Mosquito - an IoT mosquito trap that cleared your house before you even walked in. Yes, for real!
Why MyGrid?
I like to use my skills for something meaningful. ModuleOne, our plug-and-play home battery — ticks all the right boxes: smart tech, real impact, and future-proof.
Inspiration
Who inspires me? Yuval Noah Harari. His insights into human evolution really changed the way I see the world.Favourite book? Sapiens, of course. Best series? Better Call Saul, brilliant storytelling.
Trekkie vibes
Am I a geek? Not really… although I am a Trekkie. So maybe just a little. 😄
When I’m not deep in tech…
You’ll probably find me out on the water, sailing in Zeeland. I also enjoy padel and other sports, or heading off on an adventure as far from home as possible. That said, you can also catch me enjoying a Tripel Karmeliet on a sunny terrace. 🍺
