Choosing a home battery is about more than capacity and price. You also want to know whether it works safely with the electricity grid, and what happens when it eventually reaches the end of its life. Today we have a clear answer to both questions.

On 21 October 2026, Synergrid added ModuleTwo to its C10/26 list of approved power-generating units. The 800 W plug-and-play version is now officially approved under reference GLV335-02-0001. And MyGrid is registered as a producer with Bebat, the Belgian organisation responsible for collecting and recycling batteries.

What Synergrid actually approved

The approval is not a vague quality label; it is a listing with hard specifications. This is what appears on the list:

Synergrid: confidence in the grid connection

A plug-in battery draws electricity and feeds it back. Its inverter therefore has to meet the technical requirements of the Belgian prescription C10/11 (edition 2.4). Those rules protect the safety and stability of the distribution grid: they define, for instance, how a device responds to frequency or voltage deviations and how it disconnects itself from the grid when necessary.

For ModuleTwo, Synergrid confirms, among other things:

  • an integrated automatic separation system;

  • operation across the extended frequency range of 51.5 to 52.5 Hz;

  • power response to under-frequency and active power reduction P(U);

  • compliant power control, via Shelly Pro 3EM or the P1 port of your smart meter.

For you, this means that ModuleTwo in its approved version demonstrably meets the conditions for grid connection. That is a concrete confirmation that counts when you choose a plug-in battery.

Bebat: responsibility for what comes later

A battery's future deserves attention too. MyGrid is registered with Bebat, the organisation that supports producers and importers in Belgium in their responsibility for end-of-life batteries.

That registration includes declaring every battery we place on the market and paying the corresponding environmental contribution. The contribution funds collection, processing and recycling at the end of the battery's life. So the later handling is already taken care of the moment you put your battery into service.

Why this matters to you

Synergrid is about technical cooperation with the Belgian grid. Bebat is about what happens to your battery after use. Together they cover the whole lifecycle: from the day you plug ModuleTwo in to the day the battery is recycled.

At MyGrid, we want to make smart energy management accessible, with respect for the rules, for our customers and for the future.

Discover ModuleTwo and take the step towards smarter energy use.

When commissioning, follow the installation instructions and the notification rules of your grid operator (Fluvius, Sibelga, ORES or Resa).
