An electric vehicle can significantly increase a household’s annual electricity consumption. When you charge at home and also use a heat pump, air conditioning or other high-consumption appliances, a small home battery may not provide sufficient storage capacity.
 
The 8.44 kWh ModuleTwo is designed for this higher and more distributed energy demand. It can store surplus solar energy or charge during lower-cost hours, making that energy available later when your home and electric vehicle need it.
 
This helps you use more of your own solar energy, reduce consumption during expensive hours and offset part of your peak demand. Actual savings depend on your consumption profile, energy contract, solar production and the power requirements of your connected appliances.
Smart and automatic energy management
 
The MyGrid EMS considers your expected energy consumption, solar production, weather forecasts and electricity prices. Based on this information, it automatically determines the most cost-effective times to charge and discharge the battery.
 
Once configured, ModuleTwo operates automatically. The MyGrid app gives you clear insights into your energy consumption, battery status and savings.
 
Modular and expandable
 
This configuration consists of one ModuleTwo Master and three expansion modules, each providing 2.11 kWh of storage capacity. Together, they offer a total capacity of 8.44 kWh.
 
If your energy needs increase, you can expand the system further to a maximum of 10.55 kWh without replacing your existing modules.
 
Safe and durable battery technology
 
ModuleTwo uses cobalt-free LiFePO4 battery cells, selected for their long service life, thousands of charging cycles and high thermal stability. The battery is designed for everyday use at home and can be installed in a suitable garage, utility room or indoor space.
 
More power for higher energy consumption
 
Connected to a standard power socket, ModuleTwo delivers up to 800 W. This allows the battery to cover part of your home’s continuous electricity consumption and the additional demand created by charging an electric vehicle.
 
In a suitable configuration on a dedicated electrical circuit, the output can be increased to 1,200 W.
